Following successful field trials, RagnarTech, Inc. has chosen to spec the Smart Shear Pin system for its 9400 (pictured below), which is designed to be a HZ shredder, a grinder, and a chipper.

With a wide range of rotor RPMs, the 9400 can be configured to shred medium contaminated material, grind a high volume of wood and other debris, and also chip 6 to 60mm sized chips.

US-based RagnarTech founder and president, Anders Ragnarsson, says: “To maximize machine uptime we choose the innovative and clever Smart Shear Pins from Anstee Indication Systems as our primary shear pins. If and when the machine takes a severe enough hit to crack a pin, an alarm signal is sent to the operator, allowing them to quickly and simply replace the pin before it completely breaks. This is important for our customers; it keeps the machine running, making money.”
